BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 23 November 2018 – Closing Ceremony for Fire Marshall and Fire Warden Course series 3/2018 was conducted at Fire and Safety Services Headquarters, Combat Support Services (CSS) Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Bolkiah Garrison.

30 personnel participated the course made up of – 5 personnel from Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), 17 personnel from Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) , 6 from Technical Equipment Maintenance Division (TEMD), RBN and 2 personnel from RBN Primary School.
The course was conducted by the Officer Commanding Combat Support Services (CSS), Captain Md Nurirwan bin Hj Md Riduan as well as CSS Instructors Warrant Officer 2 Haszwan bin Sayang, the Head Instructor and other instructors which started from 19 November 2018 until 23 November 2018.
 
The objective of this course is to teach the basics, techniques for different situation and train personnel on how to become a qualified Fire Marshal and Fire Warden with the aim that when they get back to departments, they will be equipped with Fire Safety knowledge and be able to practise as well as implement at their respective departments and buildings.
The course consisted of 80 percent practical and 20 percent theory. The course subject consisted of Bomb Prevention, Fire Safety Procedures and the usage of specific fire fighting equipment.  
Present as a Guest of Honour and convey the certificate to the participants of the course was the RBN Head of Inspectorate Cell representative, Lieutenant Commander Mohammad Nazrin bin Hj Sabli, RBN.   Also present were RBN Staff Officer Grade 3 Health and Safety Enviroment, Heads of Departments and CSS RBLF Instructor.
 
The closing ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Chief Petty Officer Sulaiman bin Hj Yusof, RBN.   After recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, Warrant Officer 1 Shamsul Bahreen bin Hj Ahmad, RBN spoke on behalf of the course participants whom gave the opening remarks and shared his experience throughout the course.
The opening remark was followed by a certificate presentation to the course participants by the Guest of Honour.   The ceremony concluded with a group photo session.
