MUARA, Friday, 12 October 2018 – A foreign fishing vessel carrying five fishermen onboard was apprehended by the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ship KDB DARULAMAN on Wednesday, 10 October 2018. 

The vessel was illegally fishing in Brunei waters approximately 98 nautical miles from the coast of Brunei Darussalam. The RBN apprehended the fishermen and handed them to the Marine Police, Royal Brunei Police Force, in the presence of a representative from the Fisheries Department.

This is the third illegal fishing vessel captured by RBN this year and the second foreign fishing vessel apprehended by KDB DARULAMAN.
