MUARA, Monday, 10 September 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a ceremony to commemorate the new Islamic Year 1440 Hijrah at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. Present as the Guest of Honour was Commander Hadi Syarifuddin bin Hj Muhd Hassanal Mega, RBN, Head of Inspectorate Cell. Also present were Senior Officers, Officers and RBN enlisted personnel.
The ceremony began with the recital of the Holy Quran Surah Al-Imran by Ordinary Rate Abdul Muizz bin Alias, RBN verse 190-195 followed by the end of the year 1439 Hijrah prayer, a mass Maghrib prayer, recitation of ‘wirid’ and the new Islamic year 1440 Hijrah prayer.
The event also featured a religious talk titled “Ilmu dan Amal Nadi Wawasan Negara” delivered by guest speaker from the Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ustaz Muskrisman Safari bin Mustafa. The ceremony concluded with the mass Isya’ Prayer.
