MUARA, Friday, 17 August 2018 – The Naval Diving Course – Basic opening ceremony was officiated by Lieutenant Junior Grade Afizan bin Safrudin, RBN, Training Officer for Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) at the Naval Training Centre (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
Speaking at the ceremony, Lt JG Afizan expressed his hopes and expectations from the 16 participants comprising of 4 officers and 12 junior rates. He emphasized on the importance of determination, team work, discipline and physical endurance as well as mental strength that will be needed during the 6 week course, held from the 17th of August to the 28th of September 2018.
The training course will be focused on preparing the participants for their upcoming posts in the form of new skills and the fortitude needed for such a role in NAVSAG.
