MUARA, Friday, 10 August 2018 – The closing ceremony and certificates presentation for the Petty Officer Leadership and Management Course Serial 01/2018 and Advance Cook and Steward Course Series 2018 was held at Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Centre (NTC). Attending the event as the Guest of Honour was Commandant Naval Training, Commander Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN. Also present were Commanding Officer Naval Training, RBN officers, instructors of NTC and RBN personnel.
A total of 29 participants attended the Petty Officer Leadership and Management Course and 6 participants attended the Advance Cook and Steward Course, which both courses ended on 10 August 2018.
Speaking on behalf for the both course participants, Petty Officer Mahli bin Haji Matali, RBN shared their experiences and reflections throughout the course. This was followed by a certificate presentation to the course participants and awards for the Petty Officer Leadership and Management Course by the Guest of Honour.
The Best Overall Award was given to Petty Officer Mohd Haris bin Haji Mohd Soferi, RBN; the Best Drill Award was awarded to Petty Officer Samsul Rizal bin Awg Haji Asli, RBN; the Best Command and Task was awarded to Petty Officer Ali Azis bin Sulaiman, RBN; the Best Presentation was awarded to Petty Officer Mahli bin Haji Matali, RBN; and the Best Academic was awarded to Petty Officer Airol Rizal bin Haji Japar, RBN while the Best Syndicate was given to Syndicate 3.
As a remark for the closing ceremony, the Guest of Honour urged the participants could benefit from lessons learnt during the 5 weeks course. He also thanked the instructors who have ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the course. And in addition he congratulated to all participants who successfully completed the course.
The ceremony ended with the recitation of the closing prayer led by Petty Officer Nurul Iman bin Haji Salleh, RBN followed by group photo session.
