Muara Naval Base, Friday 18th March 2016 – A promotion ceremony for the 27 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was held at the Senior Rates Mess, Muara Naval Base. Presenting the rank insignias to 27 RBN Personnel was First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, the Commander of RBN.
The List of promoted personnel are as follows, 5 personnel received acting Warrant Officer 1, 12 acting Warrant Officer 2 and 10 acting Chief Petty Officer.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Petty Officer Sulaiman bin Haji Yusof, RBN.
The promotion was based on the criteria of their active participation in RBN activities, such as religious, welfare, sports events, and most importantly their work discipline and merited performance for excellent service. The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat and light refreshments.
Also present during the ceremony were RBN senior officers, officers, RBN personnel and family members of the promoted personnel.
