REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, 29 November – 1 December 2018 – The 16th Royal Brunei Armed Forces – Singapore Armed Forces Junior Interaction Programme (RBAF-SAF JIP) was held in the Republic of Singapore from 28 November to 1 December 2018. The programme was participated by a delegation of 20 officers from the RBAF which also consists of 8 officers from Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), the RBAF delegation was led by Commander Mohd Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, RBN.
The opening ceremony of the RBAF-SAF JIP was officiated and hosted by Lieutenant Colonel Lai Sze Hai from the Joint Manpower Personnel Department SAF, as the representative of the Singapore Armed Forces. The programme aims to strengthen the rapport and build understanding between the RBAF-SAF junior officers through professional exchanges, cultural interactions and visits to SAF military training institutions.
During the programme, the delegation had the opportunity to visit places of interest such as the Gardens by the Bay, the PEACEKEEPER Simulation Centre, the Air Force Training Command (AFTC), the Air Force Museum, the Republic of Singapore Navy Training Command and the Damage Control Trainer. As a side activity, the delegates also participated in a dragon boat rowing session at Kallang, conducted by the Singapore Dragon Boat Association. The RBAF-SAF JIP ended on a successful note with a farewell dinner hosted by Lieutenant Colonel Lai Sze Hai.
