BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 15 February 2024 – With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, a total of 10 officers of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were promoted today.
The ceremony witnessed seven RBN officers promoted from Lieutenant (RBN) to Lieutenant Commander (RBN) namely Lieutenant Commander Luqman bin Hj Abdul Hamid, Lieutenant Commander Muhammad Hamizan bin Jalil, Lieutenant Commander Rasyidah Suziany binti Haji Roslan, Lieutenant Commander Awangku Faizul Azmizan bin Pengiran Rajalli, Lieutenant Commander Mohd Akhmal bin Mohd Akbal, Lieutenant Commander Muhammad Zul Adhwa bin Hj Mohd Zulkifli and Lieutenant Commander Nurdayana binti Haji Kadir meanwhile three officers were promoted from Lieutenant Junior Grade (RBN) to Lieutenant (RBN) namely, Lieutenant Dayangku Nur Bahirah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, Lieutenant Md Nazirul Azlan bin Khalid and Lieutenant Muhammad Ajrullah bin Rosli.
The insignia presentation was presented by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBAF, at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison.
Also present were the Permanent Secretary, Services Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Directors and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF, and family members of the promoted officers.
The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat recited by Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, RBN, Director of RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) to bless the ceremony.
