MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday 14 July 2017 - To commemorate His Majesty’s Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam’s 71st Birthday, a Thanksgiving Prayer was held on the 20th of Syawal 1438 corresponding to 14th July 2017, at Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
The Guest of Honour was Commander Spry bin Hj Serudi @ Hj Seruji, Fleet Commander RBN. Also in attendance were Senior Officers, Officers, Enlisted RBN personnel and civilian personnel of RBN.
The event commenced after the arrival of the Guest of Honour with mass Maghrib prayer, a Sunat Hajat prayer followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and a Special prayer for His Majesty the Sultan. The event concluded after the mass Isya’ prayer.
His Majesty’s 71st Birthday celebration marks a significant event in the annual calender. It brings out nation wide patriotism to request the blessings and longevity from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala for His Majesty the Sultan and Brunei Darussalam.
