MUARA, Friday 16 December 2016 - The final match of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Water Polo and Swimming Tournament 2016 was held yesterday at the RBN Swimming pool. Pangkalan B emerged as champions in the water polo tournament after beating Armada A in the final match with the score 3-1. Whilst Armada B came in the third place by defeating Pangkalan A.
For the swimming tournament, Armada A emerged as overall champions by attaining 8 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze. Pangkalan B came in the second place followed by Armada B in the third place.
The RBN Swimming and Water Polo Tournament 2016 is an annual sport event that aims to encourage swimming competition among the RBN personnel and to scout for new athletes to represent RBN at the inter unit competition which will be held in January 2017.
Present to give away the championship trophy and prizes was the Acting Commander of the RBN, Captain Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili@Suhaily.
