MUARA, Thursday 24th July 2014 – The Royal Brunei Navy, yesterday held a Khatam al- Quran and Nuzul Al-Quran ceremony at the Setia Ali Mosque, Pekan Muara. Present as the guest of honor was the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abd Aziz bin Hj Md Tamit.The ceremony began with the recital of Tahtim Al-Quran which was then followed by a mass Zohor prayer comprising of personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy and civilians.
After the Zohor prayer, a religious lecture was presented by Cpt Ariffin bin Hj Amit from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Religious Department. These events organized are a few of the religious activities that the Royal Brunei Navy has been involved with in recent weeks. Maximizing the month of Ramadhan, the Royal Brunei Navy has reaped spiritual gain as it is encouraged by the teaching of Islam in this holy month of Ramadhan.
