BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Today, 12 December 2016 – A total of 466 Royal Brunei Navy officers and personnel gathered in Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital city, participated in the mass gathering and procession to commemorate the birth date of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the year 1438 Hijrah.
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to grace this auspicious day and headed the national rally in honour of the Great Prophet.
The event commenced with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah read by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Celebration theme for the Year 1436 Hijrah is ”Berwawasan Yang Berkat Dengan Bercontoh Kepada Rasullulah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam”.
