BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday 16 May 2016 – A recital of Surah Yassin and Tahlil ceremony for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman was held this morning by Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) in conjunction to the RBAF 55th Anniversary.
The religious ceremony was held at the Royal Mausoleum Building was intended to seek mercy and blessings from Allah Subhannahu Wata’ala upon the departed father and mother of His Majesty the Sultan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The event was attended by the RBN Commander, First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, senior officers, officers and Navy personnel of RBN. Reading of the Surah Yassin and Tahlil was Captain Ariffin bin Amit, Religious Officer of Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil at the Royal Mausoleum has been a tradition for the RBN. Such religious practice demonstrates our continuous devotion to Allah Subhannahu Wata’ala and to maintain our determination to the national philosophy of Melayu Islam Beraja.
