Bandar Seri Begawan, Saturday, January 3, 2015 – 460 Royal Brunei Navy officers and personnel gathered in Taman Haji sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital to join the national stage march around Bandar Seri Begawan in commemorating the birth date of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam for The Year 1436 Hijrah.
His Majesty Paduka Seri Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Marhoum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to attend the celebration of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Present were His Royal Highness Crown Prince Pg Muda Haji Al-Prince, His Royal Highness Pengiran Bendahara Seri Maharaja Permaisuara Pengiran Muda Haji Sufri Bolkiah and His Royal Highness Duli Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik along with other royal families. The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah mass led by the Mufti, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Shammy.
Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohammad in his speech, among others, the presence of His Majesty to the assembly will strengthen the ties of love and loyalty between the king and the people. He said the willingness of HRH headed the procession is admired and reflects the leadership of His Majesty for religion as well as remembrance and a great love for the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Celebration theme for the Year 1436 Hijrah is Loving the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
