Muara, Friday 20 June 2014 – The Royal Brunei Navy welcomes Royal Brunei Army Cadets for a study visit for 3 days starting from Tuesday, June 17 to Thursday, June 19, 2014. The schools that involved are from Pehin Dato Seri Maharaja Secondary School, Mentiri and Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam ,Serasa Feeling the crowd of 63 students with 5 teachers.During the three day visit, Members of the Army Cadets was briefed on the organizational structure of the RBN, also the duties onboard ship, and given a brief description of diving equipment as well as the opportunity to try out the scuba equipment.
Swimming lessons are also conducted to further improve their confidence to pursue practical training Sea Survival. They were also had the opportunity to visit one of RBN patrol Vessels, KDB DARULEHSAN.
The Army Cadets were exposed to the Naval operation by taken on a cruise along Muara Channel by embarking two Landing crafts, namely KDB DAMUAN and KDB PUNI. During the cruise they had the experience to witness navigation procedures as well as the naval tradition onboard ship. In the afternoon, sporting events held in the Futsal court RBN.
With this study visit activities of Royal Brunei Army Cadet which is to sharpen the discipline , gain knowledge and experience as Royal Brunei Army Cadet in general and in particular the Sea Cadet Corps
