BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday, 18 October 2016 – Fifty four Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCOs) of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel visited the Brunei History Centre as part of the SNCOs Leadership Course Series 02/2016.

The SNCOs was led by Lieutenant Commander Ali Mustapa bin Umar, Acting Commanding Officer Naval Training, RBN.
 
The visit began with a welcoming remark by Hjh Dyg Fatimah bte Hj Md Daud, Head of Library and Learning Unit, where she explained the functions and roles of the Brunei History Centre. She mentioned that it was vital for the people of Brunei Darussalam to value their history as it provides a sense of identity and culture. Understanding our history will explain why we should embrace our Melayu Islam Beraja and how the new generation must preserve it.
 
During the visit, the SNCOs were given the opportunity to tour around the exhibit to appreciate Brunei’s artefacts.
 
The visit concluded with a group photo and a momentous to Hjh Dyg Fatimah as a token of appreciation on behalf of the SNCOs.
