The Royal Brunei Yacht Club (RBYC) organised an Annual Regatta on 12th and 13th November 2016 recently, opening the participation to outside agencies and sailing clubs. The Regatta was held at RBYC, Serasa Beach throughout the weekend with sailors of all ages coming together for the annual competition.
This year’s RBYC Annual Regatta saw the participation of a total of 28 sailors from the Royal Brunei Yacht Club, the Sarawak Amateur Sailing Association (SASA) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
The Regatta was launched by Saiman Abdullah, General Manager of RBYC on Saturday, 12th November 2016, before the sailors took to the water to begin the race.
This annual regatta presents a good opportunity for sailors from the RBAF to be exposed to and build on the interest of sailing, in line with the aim of the RBYC Annual Regatta as a whole, which is to promote sailing and foster the interest of the sport.

This year’s RBYC Annual Regatta saw the participation of 28 sailors, all ready with their boats prior to the start of the race.
