BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sunday, 25 February 2018 - His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to participate in the “Riadah Berbasikal Semangat Kebangsaan”, which was held in conjunction with 34th National Day celebration.
Also present were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and other members of the Royal family.
The program was organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs; the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Health as well as the involvement of all other ministries and Brunei Darussalam Cycling Federation
The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) displayed their strong enthusiasm for the event, where 96 personnel, including their families, participated in the joyous occasion. Among the participating cyclists were the Commander of the RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Deputy Commander of the RBN, Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, officers and personnel of RBN.
The cycling event started and ended at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital route covered a distance of 12-kilometre, passing several main roads in Bandar Seri Begawan.
