MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 1 November 2016 - The Defence Security Branch (DSB), Defence Minister Office and Directorate of Strategic Planning has continued its efforts in improving knowledge and awareness related to security by initiating the 5th Security Awareness Roadshow.
The roadshow which was launched by Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, is open to all military and civilian personnel at the Senior Rates Mess, RBN starting from 1 – 3 November 2016.
Security awareness can never be compromised especially in a military organization. The goal of an awareness program is not only to educate RBN personnel on potential security threats and what they can do to prevent them, but it is to change the culture of the organization so that it becomes second nature.
The roadshow included interactive sessions at the security exhibition, advisory and best practices sharing on security for an organisation. Also participating in the roadshow were the Defence Information Technology Unit (DITU) and several private security companies. Also present at the roadshow event were Senior Officers and Officers of the RBN.
