BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday 7 July 2014 – The Royal Brunei Navy held an annual Bertahlil Ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum where 233 of its personnel came to pay respect for the late Al-Marhum Sultan Hj Omar Ali Saifuddin Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and for Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
 
Present at the function was Yang Mulia First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy.  Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Lieutenant Colonel (L) Haji Yusuf bin Masron, Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, senior officers, officers and personnel of the RBN.
 
The religious ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Surah Yaasin and tahlil.
 
The tahlil ceremony is part of the religious activities held every year in the holy month of Ramadhan.
