BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 16 November 2016 – This year’s Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Sepak Takraw competition was organised by the Ministry of Defence, held at the Bolkiah Garrison.
Present to witness the competition was the Guest of Honour, Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah.
The participating teams consisted of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), RBAF Training Institute and Ministry of Defence.
The RBLF was crowned the winner for this year’s RBAF Sepak Takraw competition under the team category. Second place went to RBAF Training Institute and third place to RBN during the semi-finals.
As for the Inter Regu Category, RBN was crowned the champion for maintaining the title since last year’s competition. Second place went to RBLF and third place to RBAF Training Institute during a competitive game during the finals.
The annual Sepak Takraw competition is aimed for RBAF personnel in finding that balance in mental and physical exertion, sharpness in decision making skills, think and act under pressure, and enhance relationships between the RBAF.
