MUARA, Friday, 6 June 2014 – The Royal Brunei Navy celebrates Israk Mikraj 1435H held at Masjid Setia Ali, Serasa. Israk Mikraj ceremonies were also celebrated concurrently at the mosque and suraus of all military garrisons and camps earlier this morning.The Guest of Honour was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit , Commander of the RBN. Also in attendance were officers and personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The ceremony began with mass Fajr prayer followed by the recital of the holy Quran Surah Al-Isra’ verse 13-19 by 18973 Lkpl (L) Abd Azim bin Ahmad Fadzillah. Highlight of the event was the Kuliah Subuh (Fajr lecture) by invited guest speaker, Ustaz Haji Jamil bin Haji Abdul Ghani from the Brunei Muara District Religious Affair. The lecture aim on to reminisce the history of the miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H from Masjidil Haram to Masjidil Aqsa and his ascension to the heavens.
The guest speaker also gave motivation as well as reminding RBN personnel to be spiritually devoted to Allah SWT regardless of any hurdles encountered during performing duty to protect the Country and Nation.
The ceremony ended with a presentation of gift to the invited speaker followed by Ratib Al-Attas before performing the Sunnat Dhuha prayer.
