MUARA, Tuesday, 5 September 2017 – In the commemoration for this year 1438H/2017M Aidil Adha celebration, the Royal Brunei Navy held Ibadah Korban & Aqiqah ceremony at Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
Present as the Guest of Honour was the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. Also present were Head of RBN’s BAKTI, Pengiran Datin Noralam binti Pengiran Haji Kahar, along with RBN Senior Officers, Officers, RBN personnel and BAKTI members.
The ceremony began with the mass prayer of Fardhu Asar, Takbir Aidil Adha and Doa, and concluded with the distribution of ‘Daging Korban’ (Sacrificial Meat), which was presented by the Guest of Honour, Head of RBN BAKTI and Senior officers to RBN personnel and BAKTI members.The Sacrificial Meat was also distributed amongst the orphans of the late RBN personnel.
This year Ibadah Korban & Aqiqah was participated by RBN Officers and personnel and also BAKTI members with families. The ceremony is to remind all Muslims to celebrate this blessed day with great joy towards achieving protection, health and prosperity. By taking this opportunity to pray on this blessed day, for Allah will continue to keep us safe and prosperous, averted from such calamity at present and in the days hereafter.
This year’s ceremony was organised by Lieutenant Md Zulyamin bin Md Noor, Air Warfare Officer, KDB DARUTTAQWA.
