MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday 5th July 2017 – Promotion ceremony of 33 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) and 31 Junior NCOs of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel was held at the Senior Rates Mess. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Ustaz Mohd Raffiudin bin Hj Ali, Religious Teacher of RBN.
Presenting the rank insignias to the 64 RBN personnel was the Commander of RBN, First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad. Also present during the ceremony were RBN Senior Officers, Officers, RBN personnel and family members of the promoted personnel.
The promotion was based on the criteria of their participation in RBN activities, such as religious, welfare, sports events, and most importantly their work discipline and merited performance for excellent service. The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat and light refreshments.
