ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY WELCOMES NEW SERGEANT MAJOR
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 31st January 2024. The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a prestigious Takeover Parade Ceremony at the RBN’s Parade Square to officially welcome Warrant Officer 1 Irwan bin Haji Bungsu, RBN as the new Sergeant Major.
FAMILY DAY IN CONJUNCTION WITH RBN’S 58TH ANNIVERSARY
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Sunday, 28 January 2024 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted a Family Day in conjunction with its 58th anniversary. It was a day filled with joy, love, and gratitude, where everyone came together as one big family. Captain Haji Mohd Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, Acting Commander of RBN, along with his family, led the event as the Guest of Honour.
PROMOTION CEREMONY FOR SENIOR RATINGS OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday 26 January 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a promotion ceremony for thirty-one (31) senior ratings held at the RBN Senior Rates’ mess (15) were promoted from Acting Petty Officer to the rank Sub Petty Officer, and sixteen (16) were promoted from Sub Leading hand to the rank Sub Petty Officer.
PROMOTION CEREMONY FOR JUNIOR RATINGS OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, January 26, 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a promotion ceremony for Eighty-Eight (88) Junior Rates at Dewan Samudera. Thirty-nine (39) were promoted to the rank of Leading Hand, and forty-nine (49) were promoted to the rank of Able Rate.
ACTING RBN COMMANDER ATTENDS THE 9TH MULTILATERAL MARITIME VIRTUAL KEY LEADERS ENGAGEMENT (KLE) HOSTED BY THE UNITED STATES PACIFIC FLEET
MUARA, Wednesday, 25 January 2024 – Captain Haji Mohd Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Acting Commander RBN, attended the 9th Multilateral Maritime Virtual Key Leaders Engagement (KLE) hosted by Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, Commander of the United States Pacific Fleet (USPACFLT). The KLE represents a virtual platform to communicate and discuss mutual challenges and in this series, discussions revolved around the theme of “Challenges delivering Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HA/DR) in the Indo-Pacific and how we can strengthen our response together”.
