Royal Brunei Navy Participates in the 20th Asia Pacific Submarine Conference (APSC) 2024 in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia​, Monday, 30th September 2024 – Royal Brunei Navy officers headed by Commander Md Azrin bin Hj Mahmud, Chief of Staff RBN, joined 16 other nations as well as 3 external organizations for the 20th series of the Asia Pacific Submarine Conference. The conference has been successfully held from 30th September to 2nd October 2024 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and was inaugurated by the Commander of the Royal Malaysian Navy, Admiral Datuk Zulhelmy bin Ithnain.

Royal Brunei Navy and Royal Brunei Air Force Engage in Subject Matter Expert Exchange, Ship Tour and Sports Interaction with USS Savannah

Muara Commercial Port, Saturday, 5th October 2024 - a joint delegation from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) team and the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) 1st Wing and 3rd Wing personnel, visited the USS Savannah at Muara Commercial Port yesterday. The visit involved an exchange of expertise on various naval and aerial operations as well as a guided tour of the USS Savannah, an Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), known for its agility and capability to operate in both near-shore and open-ocean environments.

Surau Al-Huda, Wednesday, 25 September 2024 -  The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted a motivational talk in conjunction with The Royal Brunei Navy 59th Anniversary titled “Jati Diri Sebagai Anggota Pertahanan”. The talk was delivered  by Awang Haji Mohammad Khairul Azhar Bin Hj. Idris, Assistant Lecturer from Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB). The insightful session emphasized the importance of upholding strong values and identity as members of the Defense Forces.

RBN Officer Graduates RTN 84th NCSC with Research Paper Award

SALAYA, THAILAND, FRIDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2024 - Lt Cdr Mohd Amiel Azim bin Hj Afflon of the Royal Brunei Navy has successfully completed the 84th Naval Command and Staff Course (NCSC) conducted by the Royal Thai Navy. Spanning 18 months, the course included a mandatory 6-month Thai language training program for international officers and a 12-month NCSC, aimed at preparing officers for command and staff roles.

The event held at the Naval Training Centre is part of a key initiative between the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and Brunei’s Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) to enhance maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
