ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND PHILIPPINE NAVY COMMENCES MARITIME TRAINING ACTIVITY SEAGULL SERIES 08/18
CEBU, PHILLIPINES, Monday, 24 September 2018 – Maritime Training Activity SEAGULL 08/18 was initiated today in an opening ceremony held at the Integrated Mess Hall of Naval Forces Central in Cebu, Philippines. The ceremony started off with an opening remark by Captain Renato P David, Commander Naval Task Force 50 and was followed by remarks from Commander Azrin bin Mahmud, RBN, Commanding Officer KDB DARUTTAQWA from Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Following the opening remarks, the Commander Naval Forces Central, Commodore Loumer P Bernabe delivered his remarks and subsequently officiated the commencement of the Maritime Training Activity SEAGULL 08/18. In the evening, Commanding Officer, Officers and crew invited for the Philippine Navy (PN) hosted reception onboard BRP ANDRES BONIFACIO to further strengthen the ties between both ship’s personnel.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PARTAKE IN THE 23RD INTERNATIONAL SEAPOWER SYMPOSIUM IN USA
NAVAL WAR COLLEGE, NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND, 19-21 September 2018 - 94 Navies all around the world gathered for the 23rd International Seapower Symposium (ISS) with a theme of ‘Security, Order and Prosperity’ in United States of America. The three days event was Chaired by Admiral J. M. Richardson, Chief Of Naval Operations, U.S. Navy. Representing the Royal Brunei Navy was Captain Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili@Suhaily, RBN, Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy.
KDB DARUTTAQWA SAILS TO PARTICIPATE ASEAN CHINA MARITIME EXERCISE 2018, INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW OF REPUBLIC OF KOREAN NAVY AND BILATERAL EXERCISES SEAGULL (08/18) AND EXERCISE PELICAN (37/18)
MUARA, Thursday, 20 September 2018 - KDB DARUTTAQWA set sail this morning to participate in a number of maritime exercises and engagements scheduled at various locations around the regions of Southeast Asia and East Asia, particularly in the Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea and China. The deployment entails Royal Brunei Navy’s (RBN) participation in both bilateral and multi-lateral platforms, beginning with Maritime Training Activity (MTA) SEAGULL 08/18 hosted by Philippine Navy (PN) that will begin in Cebu and end in Bacolod, Philippines on September 23 – 29.
RBN PERSONNEL JOINS BEACH CLEANING CAMPAIGN
MUARA, Saturday, 15 September 2018 – 40 personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) came together with Brunei Shell Management (BSM) to hold a cleaning campaign at Pantai Muara.
EX KAKADU 2018 DEBRIEF
LARRAKEYAH BARRACKS, DARWIN; Friday, 14 September 2018 – The Exercise KAKADU 2018 Debrief began with the Officer Conducting Exercise (OCE), Commodore Ivan Ingham’s opening address. Present at the debrief were all participants of the exercise where each leading members of the participants were asked to present three points in which they thought about the exercise.

MUARA, Friday, 14 September 2018 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad received an introductory call from the Defence Adviser of High Commission of India in Malaysia accredited to Brunei Darussalam, Colonel Anirudh Chauhan.
