EXERCISE CARAT 2018 ENDED WITH A HIGH NOTE
MUARA, Friday, 16 November 2018 – The 24th series of Exercise CARAT, which began on the 12th of November 2018, officially ended this morning with a closing ceremony at Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Centre (NTC), Muara Naval Base. Present as the Guest of Honour was Commander Logistics Group Western Pacific (COMLOG WESTPAC) Rear Admiral Murray Joe Tynch. Also present were the were the Acting Joint Force Commander, Captain Haji Mohammad Yusuf bin Hj Masron, RBN. Senior officer in attendance representing Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was Captain Zil Husam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Fleet Commander RBN.
14th ASEAN DEFENCE MINISTERS MEETING-PLUS EXPERTS’ WORKING GROUP ON MARITIME SECURITY FIELD TRAINING EXERCISE MID-PLANNING CONFERENCE AND TABLE TOP EXERCISE
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, 13-16 November 2018 – The 14th meeting of the ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting – Plus Experts’ Working Group on Maritime Security Field Training Exercise Mid-Planning Conference and Table Top Exercise (14th ADMM-Plus EWG on MS FTX MPC and TXX) was held on 13-16 November 2018. The FTX MPC was held on 14th November 2018 at Grand Copthorne Hotel and TTX was held on 15th November 2018 at the Multinational Operations and Exercise Centre (MEOC) in Changi Naval Base. The meeting was a continuation from the previous meeting the 13th ADMM-PLUS EWG on MS, which were held in Republic of Korea on 30th May – 1st June 2018.
RBN BAND AND US NAVAL 7th FLEET BAND CONDUCTED MUSIC WORKSHOP AND CLASS DEMONSTRATION
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 16 November 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) band and the United States (U.S) Naval 7th Fleet Band, who were in Brunei Darussalam as part of the 24th Series of CARAT Exercise between Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and U.S. Navy conducted Music Workshop and Class Demonstration at Concert Hall, RBAF Band, Bolkiah Garrison.
MILITARY LEGAL UNIT BRIEFING TO THE PETTY OFFICER LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT COURSE SERIAL 02/2018
MUARA, Thursday, 15 November 2018 – As part of initiative to elevate knowledge and awareness about military law of Act 149 Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) to our Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel, RBN Naval Training Centre (NTC) invited Military Legal Unit (MLU) RBAF to give a briefing to the paticipants of Leadership and Management Course for Petty Officer series 02/2018 was held at the Nakhoda Hall, NTC RBN.
1ST NAVY STAFF TALKS BETWEEN ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND RUSSIAN NAVY
MUARA, Wednesday, 14 November 2018 – The Navy Staff Talks (NST) between Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Russian Navy held its first meeting today at Naval Training Centre (NTC), Muara Naval Base. The 1st NST is co-chaired by Commander Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Commandant Naval Training RBN and Captain 1st Rank Sergei Vavilov, Chief of International Military Cooperation, Russian Navy. Also joining the meeting are Noorserena Fiona binti Haji Omar from Corporate Legal Unit, Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) & Hajah Nor Hasimah binti Haji Mohammad Noor from Defence Policy, MINDEF.
24th BRUNEI-US EXERCISE CARAT 2018 ACTIVATED
MUARA, Monday, 12 November 2018 –The 24th iteration of the Brunei – United States Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Exercise, a bilateral exercise conducted between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and the United States Navy (USN), begins on 12 November, and will end on 16 November 2018. The Opening ceremony was held at Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Center, Muara Naval Base.
