ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PERSONNEL PROMOTION CEREMONY
MUARA, Friday, 11 October 2019 – Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Promotion Ceremony Series 03/2019 for 57 RBN junior ranks. The ceremony was held at the Warrant Officers’, Chief Petty Officers’ and Petty Officers’ Mess, RBN.
WPNS SELWG HELD AT AUSTRALIA
Australia, Friday, 11 October 2019 – Western Pacific Naval Symposium Senior Enlisted Working Group (WPNS SELWG) 2019 was held at HMAS PENGUIN, Australia from Friday, 11 October 2019 until Saturday, 12 October 2019. The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was represented by Warrant Officer 1 Pengiran Mohammad Sofian bin Pengiran Haji Metussin, RBN, Navy Sergeant Major.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PARTAKE IN SEAPOWER CONFERENCE 2019 IN AUSTRALIA
INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE, Darling Harbour Sydney, 08-10 October 2019 - 41 Navies all around the world gathered for the Seapower Conference that was themed ‘The Indo-Pacific Maritime Domain in the 21st Century – The Spectrum of Influence’ in Sydney, Australia. The three – day conference was hosted by Vice Admiral Michael Noonan, The Chief of Royal Australian Navy (RAN). The conference for this year focused on three main areas; Navy’s Role in the region, Navy involvement with industries and lastly enduring links to Australia’s maritime past. Representing the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily, RBN, Commander of RBN.
EX SEMBILANG SERIES 14/2019 CLOSING CEREMONY HELD AT RBPF HQ
ROYAL BRUNEI POLICE FORCE HEADQUARTERS, Tungku, Thursday, 10 October 2019 – Exercise SEMBILANG Series 14/2019 which began on the 07 October 2019 was officially ended this afternoon with a Closing Ceremony at Royal Brunei Police Force Headquarters (RBPF HQ), Tungku. This joint exercise involved participations from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Marine Police (POLMAR), RBPF.
RBAF HELD A LUNCH EVENT FOR RETIRED REGIMENT SERGEANT MAJORS
MUARA, Thursday 10 October 2019 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a lunch event for all 26 retired Regiment Sergeant Majors (RSMs) from all units of RBAF in conjunction with RBAF’s 58th Anniversary held at the Royal Brunei Navy’s (RBN) Warrant Officers’, Chief Petty Officers’ and Petty Officers’ Mess.
OPENING CEREMONY EXERCISE SEMBILANG SERIAL 14/2019
ROYAL BRUNEI POLICE FORCE HEADQUARTERS, Tungku, Monday, 07 October 2019 - The Opening Ceremony for Exercise SEMBILANG Serial 14/2019 was held at Auditorium Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Headquarters, Tungku. The Opening Ceremony was officiated by the Acting Director of Operations RBPF, Senior Superintendent Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Saifullah bin Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris. This year’s annual joint exercise between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Marine Police (POLMAR) is hosted by the POLMAR and will be conducted from 07 October 2019 until 10 October 2019. At his opening remarks, Superintendent Haji Azree bin Haji Abdul Manaf, Commanding Officer of POLMAR, highlights the opportunity for both agencies to further enhance their mutual understanding in terms of intelligence gathering, patrol and joint maneuvers during the exercise.
