KDB DARUTTAQWA (09) CELEBRATES 8TH ANNIVERSARY
KDB DARUTTAQWA (09), Wednesday 07 September 2022 – KDB DARUTTAQWA has recently celebrated her 8th Anniversary of active service in the Royal Brunei Navy fleet. Her motto, which is Honour, Strength and Unity, has been a standing pillar of morale and drive for the ships company in fulfilling her roles and duties. She is the 4th ship of the DARUSSALAM Class built in Bremen, Lemwerder, Republic of Germany. She completed her Maiden Voyage to Brunei Darussalam and she was commissioned on 8th September 2014 by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, The Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam and General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
EXPOSING FAMILIES TO THE NAVY INITIATIVE
Wednesday, 07 September 2022, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) has opened her doors to the RBN’s families in an event called Exposing Families to Navy Initiative’ in conjunction to the current school holidays. It’s half of a day event, that started at 0830H to 1200H, where RBN personnel are welcomed to bring their families for a work tour onboard ships and experience the work routine as a sailors.
FAREWELL VISIT FROM DEFENCE ADVICER OF MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISION
MUARA, Tuesday, 06 September 2022 – Colonel Kamarudzaman Bin Mohd Thani of the Defence Adviser of Malaysian High Commission has paid a farewell call to the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji.
KDB SYAFAAT 12TH ANNIVERSARY
BERAKAS, Friday, 02 September 2022 – To celebrate the 12th anniversary of KDB SYAFAAT which has been commissioned on 28th August 2010, the officers and crews have organized a social outing at Berakas Forest Reserve Recreational Park. Present during the event was the Commanding Officer of KDB SYAFAAT, Lieutenant Commander Nazurah binti Haji Mahaleh, RBN.
SHIP’S COMPANY RECEIVES CAPTAIN’S COMMENDATION
MUARA, Friday, 02 September 2022 – An appreciation ceremony was held onboard KDB DARUSSALAM where a select number of sailors received letters of commendation from the ship’s captain.
FIRST NAVY TO NAVY TALKS BETWEEN ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND ROYAL THAI NAVY
BANGKOK, Monday 29 August 2022 – The inaugural Navy-to-Navy Talks between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) was held on 29 August – 1 September 2022 at the Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
