KHATAM AL-QURAN, TAHLIL AND DOA KESYUKURAN CEREMONY TO COMMEMORATE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY’S 58TH ANNIVERSARY
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 13 June 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Khatam Al-Quran, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the RBN’s 58th Anniversary. The ceremony was held this afternoon at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. Present for the ceremony was Captain Haji Mohd Sarif Pudin bin Mat Serudin, Acting Commander RBN, along with members of the RBN Executive Board, officers and ratings of the RBN.
QI JIGUANG OF THE PEOPLE’S LIBERATION ARMY – NAVY DEPARTS BRUNEI DARUSSALAM AFTER GOODWILL VISIT
MUARA, Thursday, 08 June 2023 – QI JIGUANG of the People’s Liberation Army – Navy (PLA-N) departed Muara after a goodwill visit to Brunei Darussalam from 05 to 08 June 2023 led by Rear Admiral Su Yinsheng, Political Commissar of the Dalian Naval Academy. During their departure, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a farewell ceremony led by Lieutenant Commander Ade Roddiane bin Haji Mohd Rosdi, Commanding Officer of KDB DARULAMAN after which QI JIGUANG was joined by KDB DARUSSALAM for a Passage Exercise in conjunction with the Goodwill Visit.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PARTICIPATED IN THE 4TH MULTILATERAL NAVAL EXERCISE KOMODO (MNEK) AND THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL MARITIME SECURITY SYMPOSIUM (IMSS)
MAKASSAR, SOUTH SULAWESI, REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA, Thursday, 8th June 2023 – The 4th Multilateral Naval Exercise KOMODO (MNEK) was held in Makassar, Indonesia from the 4th to 8th June 2023 with the theme “Partnership to Recover and to Rise Stronger”. The activities of the exercise revolved around promoting maritime cooperation and building relationships among the participating navies in the scope of disaster relief efforts and humanitarian operations. The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was represented by Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN Fleet Commander. RBN’s participation reflects its continuous participation since the exercise’s inception in 2014, a testament to the commitment and strong ties between the RBN and the Indonesian Navy (IDN).

MUARA, Monday, 5 June 2023 – QI JIGUANG of the People’s Liberation Army – Navy (PLA-N) has arrived at Muara Commercial Port for a goodwill visit to Brunei Darussalam from 05 – 08 June 2023 led by Rear Admiral Su Yinsheng, Political Commissar of PLA-N Dalian Naval Academy.
KDB DARULEHSAN RETURNS AFTER PARTICIPATING IN THE LANGKAWI INTERNATIONAL MARITIME AND AEROSPACE EXHIBITION 2023
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 02 June 2023 – KDB DARULEHSAN returned home to Muara Naval Base after a two-week deployment to participate in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA ’23). The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a homecoming ceremony led by the Acting Commander RBN, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN. Also present to receive KDB DARULEHSAN were senior officers, officers and ratings of the RBN Fleet, as well as the families of deployed personnel. The ceremony proceeded with sujud syukur as a mark of gratefulness to Allah SWT for their safe return and was followed with the Doa Selamat and Doa Kesyukuran.
