MUARA NAVAL BASE, MONDAY, 06 JUNE 2016 – A Loan Service personnel from the Royal Navy (RN), LS2127 Warrant Officer 1 (WO1) Gareth Adams will end his service with the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) as a Training Supervisor for the Maritime Training School RBN.
WO1 Gareth Adams started his career with the RBN on the 16 July 2013. His dedication towards RBN has helped enhanced the professionalism and knowledge amongst the RBN personnel. Throughout his service, he has been involved in numerous training activities on board RBN ships especially with respect to Fire Fighting and Damage Control, Basic Operation Sea Training as well as managing courses at the Maritime Training School. WO1 Gareth Adams will be posted as part of the Fleet Operation Sea Training team once he returns to the United Kingdom.
WO1 Gareth Adams also has the opportunity to make a Courtesy Call to the Commander of RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi Bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. He expressed his gratitude towards RBN for the experience he has gained working with the RBN personnel.
Meanwhile, the Commander of RBN conveyed his appreciation and gratitude for WO1 Gareth Adams active involvement and contributions towards the RBN throughout his service. The Commander of RBN concluded the Courtesy Call by presenting a plaque and the 50th RBN Anniversary book as a farewell token.
