MUARA NAVAL BASE, Thursday, 9 June 2016 – A Kuliah Zuhur was presented by Ustaz Mas Ismandi bin Hassan from the Religious Department of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) today. In commemoration to the blessed month of Ramadan, the RBN community congregates to share and strengthen their Islamic faith.
Present was Captain Hj Othman Bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, Deputy Commander of RBN, Senior Officers, Officers as well as personnel and staff of the RBN.
Prior to the Kuliah Zuhur, a congregation of Zuhur prayer was led by the Imam of RBN.
During the Kuliah Zuhur, Ustaz Mas Ismandi touched on the importance of strengthening our faith on the gifted month of Ramadan. Individuals must focus their relationship with Allah S.W.T, their Cretor. He also mentioned that it is an opportunity for the Umma (community of Islam) to seek forgiveness and have Taubat (repentance). He said that Islam is the source of peace and by focusing our relationship with the guidance of Allah S.W.T, the believers of Islam will be able to acquire inner peace and tranquillity. He concluded by saying that time is short and be thankful for being able to repent during the Holy month of Ramadan.
The Kuliah Zuhur will be held every Thursday throughout the month of Ramadan. Such event offers the opportunity for officers and personnel of the RBN to share the teachings of Islam based on the Al-Quran and Hadith.
