SATTAHIP, Monday, 13 November 2017 – KDB DARUTTAQWA had safely arrived berth at Chuk Samet Commercial Port, Sattahip, Thailand to participate in the First ASEAN Maritime National Exercise (AMNEX) and International Fleet Review (IFR) 2017 in conjunction with the celebration of the 50th ASEAN establishment which is hosted by Royal Thai Navy (RTN).
KDB DARUTTAQWA was welcomed by Captain Tatisak Kor Prasert, Deputy Chief of Staff, Patrol Squadron, Royal Thai Fleet, RTN and other senior officers.
1st AMNEX 2017 harbour phase will commenced with the Courtesy Calls to Commander-In-Chief RTN by all ships’ Commanding Officer and senior officers afloat followed by the Opening Ceremony for AMNEX 2017 that will take place on 14th November 2017 at RTN Headquarter. The harbour phase events will include, Table Top Exercise (TTX) as a mission rehersal prior to Sea Phase, Pre-Sail Brief and Sport Interactions.
KDB DARUTTAQWA is expected to depart off IFR 2017 and AMNEX Sea Phase on Thursday, 16th November 2017 along with the other international naval ships. KDB DARUTTAQWA will be anchoring off Pattaya Bay for IFR 2017. Other organized events include Courtesy Call to Governor of Pattaya by all ships’ Commanding Officer, Final Brief on IFR 2017 onboard His Majesty Thailand’s Ship (HTMS) ANGTHONG, Welcome Dinner hosted by Commander-In-Chief RTN, IFR 2017 Opening Ceremony, City Parade and IFR 2017 in which the Prime Minister of Thailand, His Excellency Prayut Chan-O-Cha will be receiving the salute as he sail pass ships in formation
On completion of IFR 2017, KDB DARUTTAQWA will weigh its anchor with other ASEAN navy ships to commence for the 1st AMNEX 2017 Sea Phase.
