MUARA, Thursday, 28 September 2017 – Ambassador of Extraordinary and the Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Motohiko Kato made an introductory courtesy call to The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. This is his first visit to the RBN since his appointment as Ambassador in July 2017.
During the call, the Commander of RBN took the opportunity to congratulate on his appointment as the Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam and expressed the importance of defence interaction. His Excellency Motohiko Kato also expressed appreciation to RBN for the warm welcoming of JS KIRISAME DD-104 visit to RBN in May this year.
His Excellency Motohiko Kato replaced the previous ambassador H.E Mrs Noriko IKi as the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam on 07 July 2017.
