MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 20 April 2018 – The Officer Under Training Course Series 01/2018, that began on the 26th of February 2018, officially ended this morning with a closing ceremony at the Naval Training Center (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Muara.
 
Present as the Guest of Honor was 356 Captain Zil Husam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Commandant of Naval Training. Also present during the closing ceremony were the CEO of the Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS), Colonel (Retired) Muzri bin Haji Mokhsin, RBTS and RBN Officers, NTC instructors and the Officers of Intake 16.
 
The Closing ceremony comprised of a speech given by the student representative as well as the overall best student of the course; 1223 Lieutenant Junior Grade Irza binti Tuah, on the progression and success of the program. The completion of this course marks one of the many steps in the development of these young officers as competent naval officers and acts as an essential foundation for their future. The course included lessons on sea navigation, communication and basic warfare. The 8-week course provided them with basic knowledge and skills required as fleet officers in the Navy, which can contribute vastly towards their ships, the Fleet, RBN, RBAF and the country.
 
The guest of honor congratulated all the students for their hard work and dedication towards the course, and presented certificates to those who have passed and excelled.
