MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 05 October 2016 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed visitors from the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Nakhoda Ragam Campus for a working visit. The visitors consisted of 17 students and 13 support staff led by Azaman bin Menuddin, Head of Library Nakhoda Ragam Campus.
The tour commenced at the auditorium, RBN Naval Training School and was welcomed by Lieutenant Commander Rasman bin Puteh, RBN who gave his opening remarks and followed by a brief on RBN consisting of the roles, assets and missions abroad which was presented by Lieutenant Junior Grade Muhammad Muizz bin Hj Md Jaini, RBN.
Subsequently after the brief, the students and teachers were brought to Jetty Bravo for a tour on board Patrol Vessel KDB DARULAMAN. They were divided into three groups and were given the liberty to tour the ship guided by ship officers and crew. They were taken into the Junior Ratings Mess, Rigid Inflatable Craft (RIC) deck, Foxcle, Sickbay and Bridge.
To conclude the visit, an exchange of mementoes took place at the RIC deck.
The visit is part of the schools program to expand knowledge on the working environment of RBN personnel.
