MUARA, Friday, 29 September 2017 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ship KDB DARUSSALAM apprehended a foreign trawler conducting illegal fishing activities in Brunei waters on Thursday, 28 September 2017. Twelve (12) foreign fishermen were found onboard the trawler.
The trawler and the fishermen were brought back and handed over to the Marine Police the following day, in the presence of the Fisheries Department.
This is the fifth foreign fishing vessel apprehended by the RBN for this year.
