LOMBOK, WEST NUSA TENGGARA, INDONESIA, Wednesday, 7 March 2018 – The Final Planning Conference (FPC) 3rd MNEK 2018 was held in Golden Palace Hotel, Mataram City, Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia from the 5th to 7th of March 2018 organised by the Indonesian Navy (IDN).

The theme for this year MNEK 2018 is “Cooperation To Respond To Disaster and Humanitarian Issues”. The FPC was officially open by RADM I.N.G.N Ary Atmaja, S.E. the Assistant Operations to Chief of Indonesian Navy.
The meeting was led by FADM Rachmad Jayadi M.Tr. (Han) where all delegations discussed on the confirmation of assets contribution, confirming the sequence of events, and including site visit. 24 representatives were present during the meeting. The meeting were divided into two sessions where the first session dealing with the conduct of the maritime activities and the second session handling on logistics and hospitality. This year MNEK will also be conducting Engineering Civic Action Programme (ENCAP) where the multinational forces combined together in constructing houses and roads. Beside that, Medical Civic Action Programme (MEDCAP) will also be carried out as part of MNEK 2018.
Representing Royal Brunei Navy was Commander Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Chief of Staff. The conduct of the actual exercise will be from 4th to 8th of May 2018.
