MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday 26 August 2016 – Exercise PELICAN 35/16 continued with Helo Deck Familiarization and Procedure onboard KDB DARULEHSAN and RSS SUPREME on day 3 of the exercise.
The programme comprised of planning, discussion and information sharing between Flight Deck Teams (FDT) from both ships on landing and take-off procedures of both Blackhawk and Seahawk helicopters from Air Forces of both Brunei Darussalam and Singapore. Discussions were also made regarding firefighting procedures and course of action in an event of a crash on deck, followed by a demonstration of safety equipment available onboard both ships.
