Muara, Friday 21 November 2014 – The two Vietnamese Frigates names DINH TIEN HOANG (HQ-011) and LY THAI TO (HQ-012) have safely depart from Muara Commercial Port to continue their deployment.The Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN) Frigates have docked at the Muara Commercial Port for its inaugural goodwill visit to Brunei Darussalam to enhance ties between Vietnam People’s Navy and Royal Brunei Navy.The farewell ceremony was held prior to the departure at the Pier of Muara Commercial Port.
In attendance from the Royal Brunei Navy was Major (L) Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, Officers and men from the Royal Brunei Navy as well as the Navy Band, D’Anchorage.
Also bidding farewell were the Vietnamese Workers, working in Brunei Darussalam. Taking the opportunity, the Head of Delegation, Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Kiem expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Royal Brunei Navy for all the hospitalities accorded to him and the ships officers and crew throughout the visit since the day the Ships arrived in Muara on Wednesday, 19 November 2014.
During the 3 day visit, the two navies enjoyed the friendship through sports interactions and exposed to cultural diversity in Brunei Darussalam with the tour to Royal Regalia and Islamic Gallery Exhibition, Darulifta. The exchange of goodwill visits such as this can be a platform to enhance and bring the relationship between the two countries to a new height.
