MUARA NAVAL BASE, Saturday, 26 March 2016 – Officers of the Command and Staff Course (CSC) 2016 made a study visit held at the Muara Naval Base of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), yesterday.
Present to officiate the study visit at the Multi-national Coordination Centre (MNCC) was Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani, Acting Chief of Staff, RBN.
The CSC officers were given a brief presentation on the roles and history of RBN. The highlight was the discussion session which enabled the CSC officers to ask questions in order to gain better understanding of the RBN.
Following the presentation was a short tour around the naval base which proceeded to Jetty Bravo for a ship visit. The CSC officers went on board KDB DARUSSALAM, an 80-meter patrol vessel. They were taken through a familiarization tour which included areas such as the Bridge, Rigid Inflatable Craft (RIC) Deck, Helicopter Deck, and Cabins.
This year’s CSC officers consist of 27 military personnel, including 14 officers from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and one officer from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).
Twelve other international officers are also taking part in the course. They are from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and the United States of America.
