Muara Naval Base, Wednesday, 9th May 2018 – Rear Admiral Jon Pentreath OBE, Commander of Joint Helicopter Command, British Armed Forces paid a courtesy call to the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad.
During the call, both sides discussed on matters pertaining to the enhancement of bilateral defence cooperation, which includes exploring areas to enhance naval cooperation, and refining the current training and interaction between both navies.
Commander of RBN also expressed appreciation for the close bilateral defence relationship shared between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom.
Both also acknowleged that bilateral defence relations between the two countries have been warm and friendly, as this is evident through the presence of the British Forces in Brunei as well as Loan Service Personnel working closely with the RBAF personnel.
