Muara Naval Base, 14 January 2015 – Construction has begun for the Sea Wall Stability Structure that will span from the RBN Officers’ Mess to RBN Parade Square with the length 460 metres.
A Doa Selamat ceremony to grace the 12 months project was held this morning at the project site at Muara Naval Base Parade Square. The event was graced by the guest of honour Lieutenant Colonel (L)Yusuf bin Masron, Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. The ceremony was also attended by Dk Roselawati binti Pg Haji Halus, Deputy Director of Development and Work Services and Lieutenant Colonel (L) Rahaimi bin Haji Abdul Karim, Chief of Staff of RBN.
The contract value is $4.33 million, commenced today with a 12 months construction period with the expected date of completion on Mid January 2016.The main contractor is Nor Awan Sdn. Bhd and consulted by Seri Bumi Consultant. The project is to reconstruct and strengthen the existing sea wall which will amplify the base security of Muara Naval Base.
