MUARA, Monday, 6 November 2017 - In conjunction with the Exercise CARAT 2017, the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi Bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad welcomed Rear Admiral Donald D. Gabrielson, Commander Logistic Group Western Pacific (COMLOGWESPAC), Task Force 73 at a call at the Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters, Muara.
Present at the call were also Ambassador Craig Boyd Allen, United States Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam.
During the call the Commander of RBN and Rear Admiral Charles Williams agreed that the Exercise Carat is a significant way to enhance cooperation and engagement between the two nations, especially the navies. RBN Commander added that the United States Navy ships (USN) presence in Brunei Darussalam is important and signifies the warm relationship between the two countries and he also invites more US ships to come to visit Brunei in the future.
Both sides discussed to further strengthen bilateral relationship between two navies in the future. This was a great opportunity for both countries to further strengthen bilateral relationships and plan ahead for future activities.
The United States Navy ship, USNS MILLINOCKET and USNS SALVOR, are currently in Negara Brunei Darussalam from 04 November till 10 November 2017 for the Exercise Carat.
