MUARA, Friday 11 April 2014 -First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, received a Courtesy Call from First Admiral Agus Heryana, Commanding Officer of Main Naval Base IV, TNI AL and was accompanied by Commanding Officer of KRI CUT NYAK DIEN, Commanding Officer of KRI BARAKUDA and Defence Attaché of Indonesia.
 
During the call, both discussed the importance of strengthening mutual understanding and friendship to enhance defence cooperation through bilateral and multilateral exercises.
 
Both also agree that cooperative initiatives are important to improve naval cooperation and to maintain harmony and maritime stability in the region.
 
RBN and TNI AL have a very long naval partnership ties through bilateral Exercise Helang Laut. First Admiral Agus Heryana is on a 2 day visit in Brunei Darussalam to officiate the closing ceremony of Exercise Helang Laut 15B/14 which was conducted from 07th April 2014 until 11th April 2014.
