Muara Naval Base, Monday 30th April 2018 –
First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Commander of RBN today received courtesy call from
Captain Tim Neild, Royal Navy, Commanding Officer, HMS ALBION.
During the courtesy call, both sides discussed about the importance to continue to further deepened and strengthened the RN and RBN relationship in the future, which are not just limited to defence but also in other key areas of significance as well. Both also acknowledged the bond between RN – RBN has always been quite special, in which this ongoing interactions can be seen through RN’s loan service that has definitely contributed and help build the RBN training development to what it is today.
The courtesy call concluded with both Commander of RBN and Commanding Officer of HMS ALBION exchanging mementos as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation.
The last RN ship to visit Brunei Darussalam was by HMS RICHMOND in 2011 led by Captain Mike Walliker.
