BRUNEI MUARA, Sunday 4 September 2016 – The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy – Admiral (ADM) Ade Supandi is in Brunei Darussalam for a three-day introductory visit from 4 to 6 September 2016.

Present to receive ADM Ade Supandi were Commander Spry bin Haji Serudi, Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Senior RBN Officers and spouses.

ADM Ade Supandi will be making a call to First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit Deputy Minister of Defence Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah Commander RBAF, and First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi, Commander RBN.

The visit is expected to underscore the strong and long-standing defence relations between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. The Tentara Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Laut (TNI-AL) and RBN interact regularly through bilateral exercises, professional exchanges and cross-attendance of courses. The interaction will enhance the interoperability between both navies, and deepened the mutual understanding and people-to-people ties.
