MUARA, Tuesday, 15 May 2018 – 14 students from the Faculty of Integrated Technologies, University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) led by Irzy binti Tuah, Manufacturing Systems Engineering student arrived at Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) base for their first hand visit to the naval base. The group are from three different courses – from the Information Communication Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Energy Systems Engineering.

The visit was initially stimulated from a Human Resources Roadshow Programme conducted by the Human Resource Cell RBN at the UBD. The Roadshow was held to promote career opportunities for potential students from various background.

The group was received by Lieutenant Dk Lydia Ulandari binti Pg Hj Muhamad, RBN and Lieutenant Mohd Khairul Anuar bin Abdullah, RBN. The group was given a short brief of RBN and followed by a tour started at Syncrolift Bravo, Naval Base which includes Welding, Painting, Electrical, Riggers, Machine and Electronic (Communication) Workshops.

After the brief, the group also had the opportunity to tour KDB DARUSSALAM and was welcomed by the Officer of the Watch 1 KDB DARUSSALAM, Lieutenant Junior Grade Ahmad Zubair bin Abdul Nasir, RBN and they were given the liberty to tour the ship guided by the ship’s officers and crew.

To conclude the visit, a group photo session was held at the Foxcle of KDB DARUSSALAM before leaving the naval base.
