MUARA NAVAL BASE, Monday 6 June 2016 – 2 promotion ceremonies for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and Junior NCOs of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel took place at the Senior Rates Mess today.
Presenting the rank insignias to the 163 RBN Personnel was divided into two separate occasions. In the morning, it was delivered by First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, Commander of RBN for the Senior NCOs and in the afternoon, Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili @ Suhaily, Deputy Commander of RBN for the Junior NCOs.
The promoted personnel are as follows:

43 Acting Petty Officer
16 Acting Leading Hand
25 Acting Able Rate
Both ceremonies commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Ustaz Raffiuddin bin Hj Mohd Ali, RBN Religious Department.
The promotion was based on the criteria of their active participation in RBN activities, such as religious, welfare, sports events, and most importantly their work discipline and merited performance for excellent service. The ceremonies concluded with a Doa Selamat and light refreshments.
Also present during the promotion ceremonies were RBN senior officers, officers, RBN personnel and family members of the promoted personnel.
